Description

By way of this project, the Capital Regional District and its member municipalities will pursue effective energymanagement and water conservation to move sustainable development forward and improve quality of life in thecommunity. The feasibility study will investigate options of bundling buildings and municipalities together to demonstratethe magnitude of potential energy, water, and emission reductions achievable to satisfy the BC Hydro Power Smartfunding requirement. This unique first time BC partnership between a regional district and a provincial utility (BC Hydro)will serve as a model to help to align efforts of federal, provincial and municipal governments in relation to energy andwater smart efficiency in British Columbia municipalities.
