Description
A feasibility study for a Peace River run of river zero head hydro generation facility will be conducted with the GMEFcontribution of $82,750 toward this $165,000 assessment. If implemented, this project would reduce reliance on fossil-–based electricity consumed by the Town of Peace River with additional energy being sold back to the grid as a revenuegenerator for the municipality. Environmental problems often associated with a large head dam project could also beeliminated.
