Description
The Town of Bow Island will hire a consultant to assist in achieving the following:• Update the GIS inventory of sanitary, water, storm and road infrastructure using existing sources of information • Develop an Asset Replacement Forecast to estimate roads, water, sanitary and storm capital infrastructure replacement cost estimates and timing;• Update the 3 to 5 year Asset Management Strategy facilitated by a consultant workshop;• Conduct a Joint Council Education session with Foremost and Forty Mile to increase their understanding, importance, benefits and concepts of Asset Management.Building on the success of Town’s participation in the FCM-funded AUMA/RMA/IAMA Asset Management Policy, Governance and Capacity Cohort Workshops, the Town of Bow Island, the Village of Foremost, and the County of Forty Mile No. 8 will together to improve asset management capacity in each community and collectively within the region. Activities include data collection, long term financial modeling to assist with strategic asset management decision-making, refinement of asset management strategies through thencreation of/updates to an Asset Management Roadmap and Roadmap Implementation.
