Description
The City of North Vancouver is a member of Partners for Climate Protection (PCP). It completed its emissions inventoryin 2001 and was the second municipality in British Columbia to set its reduction targets. The purpose of this study is tocreate a greenhouse gas action plan that will provide the City of North Vancouver with specific recommendations forreducing municipal, corporate and community carbon dioxide emissions and create a baseline against which progresscan be measured. In so doing, it will help to further develop the “art of sustainable community planning” and serve as anexample of how far a municipality can go when it looks upon its community as a system.
