Description
The City of Chilliwack is implementing auditing and leakage control practices to reduce water distribution system loss.The study will provide an implementation strategy based on a thorough analysis of current water losses. Strategies andpractices to track and reduce losses will be recommended. These may include creating a district metering regime;improving or enhancing customer billing; asset management and reinvestment planning; improvements in customercommunication; advanced metering technologies; and acoustic leak detection. Water conservation and loss preventionpractices will reduce operational costs and extend the water supply for Chilliwack.
