Description

The supply of domestic water for the GNWD originates in the headwaters of the South Fork of the Nanaimo River fromtwo storage dams. This feasibility study will examine the viability of installing hydroelectric generators at the mainreservoir, as well as, at a second site located on the supply main halfway between the watershed and the City ofNanaimo. The study will confirm the size and location of viable green hydroelectric plants complete with estimated costsfor engineering design and construction.
