By incorporating data that is currently available, but unusable due to the lack of planning/technology infrastucture, it will establish systems and processes for evaluating and quantifying alternative scenarios that will assist the Regional Growth Strategy (RGS) decision-making process address complex multi-disciplinary issues. Ongoing monitoring work will track the progress of indicators to ensure target success. In addition, MetroQUEST will facilitate the ongoing public dialogue needed to encourage long-range strategic thinking to integrate environmental, social and economic planning. This will optimize sustainability objectives and lead to definitive targets for reducing environmental impacts of growth in the region.
