Description

This study would examine the potential for supplying electricity for heating and cooling from a co-generation facility thatwould burn waste wood. The facility would first supply energy for heating and cooling the Omniplex facility in the town. The balance of the heat generated could then supply nearby municipal facilities, such as the swimming pool, civic centreand the washrooms and showers at the town's campground. The study will examine the economic feasibility of a varietyof loads, as well as the new technologies available to provide lower capital and installation costs involved in small-scaledistrict heating piping and exchangers.
