Description
The study will develop a community-endorsed environmental strategy for sustainable community development. Anintegrated approach to municipal and community planning issues will consider economic, social and environmentalvalues. Community and municipal (corporate) environmental priorities will be identified and incorporated into currenteconomic and social strategies. The strategy will include actions to address community environmental issues as well asspecific targets and measurable. The goal will be to meet or exceed a 35 per cent performance improvement target. Thestrategy will also create an agency to assess and report to the municipality and community on the results achieved.Revelstoke anticipates that the plan will enable more effective use of resources for improved environmental performanceand management of services and facilities.
