Description
The Rural Municipality (RM) of Sasman No. 336 will create and maintain an asset management program.The goal is to perform asset condition reporting so that all assets are properly recorded and the collected data is accurate. The RM will use PubWorks to validate current data and staff will receive training. Once initial asset data has been created, various office staff will be assigned to continue updating information such as maintenance/repairs, purchase/sales of equipment etc. This will not only ensure assets are kept up to date moving forward but it will also assist administration and council with budgeting/forecasting and future capital planning. The RM will focus on Road Structure Category, which encompass road structures, culverts, bridges and signage as well as land/land improvements.
