Description

The purpose of this project is to start the process towards developing an Asset Management System for the Town of St. Paul. The project has two components. One component is providing training for the Town’snew inter-departmental Asset Management Team so that it will be able to guide the development and implementation of an AM System for the Town. The second component is to undertake an Infrastructure Assessment of the Town's asphalt and gravel roadways, concrete sidewalks and asphalt walking trails. Once these assessments have been completed, and costs established for rehabilitation, top priority projects will be incorporated into the Town's five year capital budget. Roads are the first asset class to be completed, because they have been identified as one of the asset classes most in need of attention. The Town will then use the experience gained to proceed with the same process with regard to assets managed by other departments.
