Description
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills will develop a strategic asset management policy to comply with the new Asset Management Regulation- O. Reg 588/17. The policy will guide and assist with future municipal asset management planning. The policy will support municipal goals included in the official plan, strategic plan and master plans and include how the AMP will be included in the annual budget. The policy will include ways to improve and adopt best practices. It will include the actions needed to assess and reduce risk including those as a result of climate change and disasters, it will align with Ontario's land use planning framework, it will determine capitalization thresholds, and identify key personnel responsible for asset management and set a framework for community engagement.
