Description
The Northern Rockies Regional Municipality (NRRM) developed an ‘Asset Management Playbook’ in 2016 to operationalize its asset management program. The Playbook defined a team structure, and annual and five-year planning and implementation cycles. The NRRM will develop an Asset Management Process Map to build on the Playbook concept by adding a performance framework, strengthening document and data processes, and involving front-line staff. By developing and implementing these elements through a series of workshops, the project will better integrate asset management principles in NRRM’s day-to-day management. The process mapping approach will be shared so it can be used by other municipalities to operationalize asset management.
