Description
The Village of Centreville will develop a Capital Asset Management Plan as supported by a governancepolicy. The plan will focus on core assets, defined as transportation services (roads, sidewalks and curb),environmental health services (sanitary sewer pipes, storm pipes and wastewater buildings), and protectiveservices (fire department assets). The plan will also incorporate asset inventories for municipal buildings,vehicles, and equipment. The Village of Centreville will draft a governance policy which will includeadministrative procedures and the roles and responsibilities of Village staff. Additionally, the Village willcomplete the following activities for the plan: Construct an inventory of assets (roads, sidewalks, curb, sanitary sewer pipes, storm pipes,wastewater buildings, municipal buildings, municipal vehicles and equipment). This inventory willinclude useful unique attributes for each asset class, such as material, age, length, and otherquantifiers; Complete a condition assessment using a 5-point condition rating system on core assets;MAMP 16075(28 pages) Analyze the associated risks to core assets and review mitigation measures to prevent failure; and Complete a general assessment on expected climate hazards that may potentially affect coreassets, as exacerbated by climate change.Finally, the Village will analyze the associated replacement costs for each asset, and develop a 50-yearfinancial plan for the repair/ replacement of assets based on priority.
