Description

Based on the regional analysis undertaken by a team from the University of Sherbrooke and to be ready in spring 2010, the City of Bromont will develop and adopt a Sustainable Development and Land Use Plan for the Bromont area to improve quality of life and realize the full potential of community development from the perspective of sustainable development and respect for the environment. Through an extensive consultation process and taking into account the strategic direction of the Government of Quebec's Sustainable Development Strategy as well as the sustainable development objectives of Brome-Missisquoi, the city will develop a comprehensive vision for the future and establish clear and realistic objectives in the short, medium and long term, with environmental, social and economic indicators for effective monitoring. The resulting Action Plan will serve as a general framework for the city’s administration.
