Description
Hinton is developing an industrial park and wants to minimize costly infrastructure site requirements. In addition,development is to be consistent with climate change initiatives and with limited environmental impacts. Hinton also wantsto attract companies that generate minimal impact on the park and the surrounding ecosystems. Hinton is addressingthese needs by developing the site as an eco-industrial park. The study will develop a sustainable industrial parkbusiness plan. It will evaluate and recommend options for green building features; alternative energy systems;transportation infrastructure; shared and innovative water and waste management; and preferential recruitment ofindustrial sectors. The study report will also include recommendations on a site plan and an implementation strategy.
