Description

The Town of Rosthern will collect data, assess condition and capacity of the following municipal assets: water and waste water systems. The Town will complete a comprehensive GPS Topographic Survey of all manholes, valves, hydrants, which will include location and elevations of each which will then be put on a compiled map. The Town will also assess the waste water assets condition and evaluated the capacity of the lagoon. Video inspection of some of the sanitary sewer mains will also be conducted. A hydrant and valve inspection and exercising will be completed to collect condition data.The Town will also model its water and sanitary systems to: Identify low pressure areas within the existing system and to model possible future development;  Identify system capacity as well as any overloaded locations within the system and to determine upgrade requirement for future developments. All the activities in this project will collect accurate and usable data which will assist Council and Senior Management to determine potential risks to current infrastructure, future plans for infrastructure replacement, and capacity for future development.
