Description
This study will assess the cost–benefit analysis for the acquisition and retrofit of the Fraser Papers Nexfor hydroelectricdam to maximize energy generation to become self–sufficient in the production of power. The acquisition of FraserPapers for the dam has the potential to increase the Municipality's power–generation capacity and reduce its need forpower from external sources. The cost–benefit analysis will focus on the dam's retrofit and development, usingstate–of–the–art electric–power–generation technology. It will determine the benefits of the dam's acquisition anddevelopment and indicate the development options to optimize the dam's output and increase its power–generationcapacity.
