Description

The Town of Drayton Valley has identified two buildings to establish a building energy and monitoring system: the Omniplex athletic facility and the multipurpose civic centre building, which includes the town’s administrative offices, library, and fire hall. The project will support the town’s efforts to prioritize energy efficiency and greenhouse gas emissions by covering a large portion of the upfront costs associated with establishing a building monitoring and analysis system. Once the submetering hardware has been installed, the ongoing costs for operating the system will be minimal. By collecting more granular data on building energy consumption on a continuous basis, the town will be better able to identify appropriate energy conservation measures and track their impact following implementation.
