Description
A new provincial waste reduction action plan for New Brunswick will be implemented by 2006. To supportimplementation, the Southwest Solid Waste Management Commission and the Village of McAdam want to increasewaste diversion rates. The application of maximized recycling facilities, which are known to be effective in urban settings,will be evaluated in small town and rural settings for their affordability. The study will identify existing or emergingtechnologies for possible implementation. It will also address access to markets for any products resulting from thewaste reduction processes that are identified.
