Description
In 2017 and 2018, the Town of Saint Andrews developed its first formal Asset Management Plan. Theproject, funded by FCM, provided significant improvements to data collection, data quality, and the overallinfrastructure decision-making process. Included in that project was the creation of an infrastructure assetdatabase. To keep the momentum going and improve the quality of its asset data and condition assessmentdata, the Town will conduct a condition assessment of the roads, trails, and wharf.Initially, the Town used a high-level cursory review system of the roads to identify the condition ratings. Thisproject will develop a more thorough condition rating system for roads and trails and will include a conditionassessment of the wharf. The trail assets were not originally included in the database. Based on the workin 2017 and subsequent successes and challenges with the AM program, the Town will share its story withother local municipalities.
