Description
The Local Government District (LGD) of Pinawa will collect and analyze data that will identify the current financial and operational condition of its assets. The newly acquired data will be analyzed and used for budget and project planning based on priority. The LGD of Pinawa will organize and utilize its existing financial and public works records to evalute the risk of deterioration of its water distribution and treatment, sanitary Sewer, storm sewer, roads, buildings, equipment,and vehicle assets. The LGD of Pinawa will create a structure manual which will include asset data, policies and procedures and asset management practices. The LGD of Pinawa will develop an asset management plan allowing it to focus on budgetary considerations on the promotion of the maintenance and improvement of its community services. The LGD of Pinawa has expanded the scope of the project with the consultant, using its own sources of revenue, to create a GIS inventory of our water, wastewater, storm and road assets within the community. This additional effort in GIS is both timely and quite complementary to the core asset management activities/deliverables in that it will result in an asset register, asset management plan and GIS dataset that are all consistent in terms of segments, asset ID’s, etc
