Description
The Town of Midland will use an LAS Roads Assessment Service to diagnose its roadway defects efficientlyand effectively using rapid-sensor inspection technology collecting pavement related data while traveling intraffic. This data is collected in tight time synchronization using acoustic technology, millimeter-wavesurface radar array, video cameras, and a ground penetrating radar array (GPR).The Town will ensure that this data is put into a web-based GIS data management, processing andvisualization environment designed for Pavement condition monitoring. The interface provides the Townwith visual tools and methods to help its decision makers formulate optimum strategies to maintain andimprove the Town’s roadways over a given time period including repair suggestions, prioritization and longterm planning.
