Description
The Asset Management project will be done in three phases. In Phase 1, the Town will create an asset register for its fixed infrastructure assets using a Geographical Information System (GIS). Asset groups to be captured are the Town's water, sewer and road networks as well at its buildings and facilities. In Phase 2, the Town will prioritize its assets in terms of consequence of failure and probability of failure and critical assets will be identified. Phase 3 will focus on the high priority assets (identified in Phase 2). The town will develop capital and operational strategies and policies. Similar applications were submitted by two neighboring towns (Town of Cormack and Town of Howley) and the Town will work closely with them throughout the project.
