Description
The Town of Conception Bay South will create and implement an Asset Management Policy that defines the roles of Town staff and council, surrounding the management of capital assets. The policy will balance asset lifecycle management, levels of services, public expectations, environmental risks, as well as cost efficiency.The Town will increase internal capacity by forming an internal Asset Management Committee and also implement a communication strategy to increase stakeholder and community engagement and improve overall transparency of internal process.The new Asset Management Committee and Asset Management Policy will give the town the foundation required to build a robust Asset Management Plan (AMP) that considers short and long-term strategies of all stakeholders. Part of the Town's Asset Management Plan will be to implement continuous training forMAMP 17031(30 pages)committee members and other staff, as well as acquire asset management and capital planning software to further increase internal capacity and allow the Town's Asset Management Committee to perform imperative updates to the AMP as prescribed by our Asset Management Policy.
