Description
The objective of this project is to reduce electrical consumption by at least 35 per cent over five years. To achieve thisgoal, a comprehensive energy audit of wastewater pumping stations, treatment plants and the water pumping station willbe done to identify opportunities for system wide improvements in energy and water efficiencies. The final project reportwill include economic assessment and an implementation action plan for the installation of advanced equipment andadoption of better management techniques to improve the efficiency of the overall system. This project will assist the Cityin meeting its 25 per cent reduction in energy in 2007 and, it is estimated, will reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) by 2,350tonnes annually.
