Description
The City of Kawartha Lakes plans to create a public–private partnership to collect, manage and distribute landfill gas.This study will address the potential of organics diversion and landfill gas use by considering the feasibility of a jointarrangement between the City and an adjacent correctional facility to be opened in September 2003 to examine theirtechnical capability to implement these programs. It will also evaluate the collection and beneficial use of landfill gas inconjunction with other potential users, or simply the environmental benefits of collection and management.
