Description
The Data Cleansing and Collection project is a necessary step in preparation for the new Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software system being implemented by the City of Campbell River as part of the City’s Asset Management Program. The City will increase the accuracy and completeness of the data across all asset classes including water, storm, sewer, roads, and parks. The City will hire a GIS CO-OP student to cleanse duplicate and erroneous asset data in the existing GIS database and a Geomatics or Civil Engineering CO-OP student to collect missing location and attribute asset data for water, storm, sewer, roads, and parks. The City will also fund dedicated time for staff to cleanse the different asset data registries for water, storm, sewer, roads, parks, fleet, and facilities. The result will be a consolidated and reliable inventory of all assets to track, monitor, maintain and forecast assets in a more efficient and functional system with integrated GIS capabilities
