Description
Rossburn Municipality will develop an Asset Management Policy and Strategy that will provide for the collection of data on the key assets owned by the Municipality. These key asset classes are roads, culverts, bridges, buildings, water and sewer utility, landfill, campgrounds and the aeration system. An Asset Management Plan will be developed on at least one area of assets to ensure both council and staff recognize the merit and value of Plans, and staff gain the understanding so they can complete plans for the remaining asset classes. Going forward, Rossburn Municipality will better track assets as well as create a clearer picture of the financial position and upcoming responsibilities. This information will guide financial decisions longer term, leading to a much more financially secure organization. The Municipality will provide training of a cross functional team of council members, managers, and administrative staff will ensure full adoption of the Asset Management program within the organization.
