Description
The Town of Goderich will implement a condition study of 79 km of roads and 67 km of sidewalk networks. The Town has entered into a service agreement with StreetScan Canada ULC for a vehicle and cart-based assessment. Sensor based surface data will be collected to achieve a sidewalk condition index and a pavement condition index, a requirement for paved roads under Ontario Regulation 588/17. StreetScan will provide a PDF report with recommendations for the Town to consider for development of its 2021 Asset Management Plan, which will be developed by July 2021 as per requirements under O. Reg 588/17 (not part of this application project). Collecting road and sidewalk condition data will allow for improved decision making and prioritization of capital projects.
