Description
The Rural Municipality of St. Francois Xavier will develop an Asset Management Policy, Strategy, and Plan, that will provide data on the key assets owned by the Municipality. These key assets classes are roads, water and sewer utility, drainage and culverts, buildings, machinery and vehicles. The RM will develop an Asset Management Plan on at least one asset class to ensure both council and staff recognize the merit and value of Plans, and staff gain the understanding to complete plans for the remaining asset classes. Going forward, we will better track assets as well as create a clearer picture of the financial position and upcoming responsibilities. This information will guide financial decisions longer term, leading to a much more financially secure organization. The RM of St. Francis Xavier will conduct training sessions for a cross functional team of council members, managers, and administrative staff to ensure full adoption of the Asset Management program within the organization.
