Description

Since 2014, the United Township Municipality of Stoneham-et-Tewkesbury has been examining the feasibility of implementing several community wastewater treatment systems to service residences in the Saint-Charles River watershed, with the purpose of protecting groundwater and surface water quality in the area. One hundred and thirty-nine residences could be hooked up to the municipal system as of this year. These residences are situated in a sector that is vulnerable to surface and ground water contamination. (As per February 10, 2016 announcement)
