Description
In 2013 the Township of Guelph/Eramosa approved its first asset management plan for core infrastructure including roads, bridges, water and wastewater. The Township would like to build on its original asset management plan to enhance the CityWide asset database to include GIS location, material information and condition assessments for all of the Township's core infrastructure. In addition to the collection of data to enhance the asset database information, this Phase I Data Enhancement Project also includes software upgrades and necessary training to implement the CityWide Decision Support Software License. This includes data gap analysis, profile creation, lifecycle and risk framework development, optimization analysis, scenario analysis, financial strategy and level of service optimization reporting, which will help to support future informed infrastructure investment decisions.Furthermore, the Township of Guelph/Eramosa is working with the County of Wellington and neighbouring municipalities to enhance the infrastructure and asset information in the County GIS Mapping system. The asset management team is working with staff from other municipalities to share experiences and ideas to build on asset management plans and presentations. Township staff will continue to build on the knowledge and innovative ideas shared by peers within the municipal network.
