Description
The Municipality of Clanwilliam-Erickson will develop an Asset Management Policy, Strategy, and Plan, that will provide data on the key assets owned by the Municipality. These key assets are roads, water and sewer utility, drainage and culverts, buildings, machinery and vehicles. The RM will develop an Asset Management Plan on at least one area of assets to ensure both council and staff recognize the merit and value of Plans, and staff gain the understanding to complete plans for the remaining areas of assets. Going forward, we will better track our assets as well as create a clearer picture of our financial position and upcoming responsibilities. This information will guide our financial decisions longer term, leading to a much more financially secure organization. The RM of Clanwilliam-Erickson will conduct training sessionsfor a cross functional team of council members, managers, and administrative staff to ensure full adoption of the Asset Management program within the organization.
